What are the fees at Finchley Court?
Our residents pay an 'all-inclusive' fortnightly fee which covers accommodation, meals, laundry, servicing of rooms, GP and other specialist consultations at Finchley Court, use of communal facilities and all social programs and activities. We don't require an accommodation bond or ACAS assessment and there are no exit fees. Most of our residents have their own NDIS program, and all residents are eligible for government rental assistance. We can also help you sort out your accommodation through the Department of Veterans' Affairs and Transport Accident Commission.
Finchley Court is a privately operated residence, so we don't receive any government subsidy or health insurance benefits. Contact us to find out more about our fees, and how we can help you make arrangements for your loved ones to live at Finchley Court.
What 'extra' charges do residents need to pay?
Residents are responsible for their own private expenses such as medication, pharmaceutical items and mobility aids. Residents are also responsible for their own personal costs such as shopping, going to a café or using public transport, and for their own telephone connection, maintenance and call charges if they use a landline telephone in their room.
What do I need to bring with me when I move to Finchley Court?
Our residents' bedrooms are fully furnished with a comfortable bed, arm chair and wardrobe, and we provide full bed and bath linen, so you only need to bring your clothes and a blanket or doona. We also provide a wide variety of extra furnishings to suit your individual taste and needs. We encourage you to bring some favourite belongings from home, such as photos and ornaments, to decorate and personalise your room. Residents often bring their own television for their room.
